I was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. I began painting with my mother, a gifted artist, and was encouraged to pursue an art career. In college I earned a degree in Art Education and taught art for several years in the Rochester Public Schools. We moved to Michigan and raised our two wonderful daughters, while studying printmaking and acrylics. I earned a Master’s Degree in Child Development and worked full time as an Early Childhood professional. Since moving to North Carolina I studied and found my passion with watercolor painting. I opened my website and started an art business. I’m an active Signature Member of the Watercolor Society of North Carolina, was WSNC Permanent Collection Director, and WSNC Exhibition Director for the past two years. I taught watercolor many years at our local Arts Council in Durham, and currently sell my art in local galleries and online at Etsy: BlueSkyWatercolor.
