Plein Air Newberry

Plein Air Newberry is the perfect opportunity for artists like you to get out and paint, creating artistic community. It’s really simple! On Saturday, April 27th, artists will choose a painting location in Newberry County, paint to their heart’s (or eyes’) content, have their piece ready for judging by 4:00PM, and listen for their name to be announced at the awards ceremony at 5:30PM! Date: Saturday, April 27, 10AM – 5:30PM, rain or shine
Location: Newberry Art Center (NAC), 1200 Main Street, Newberry, SC

Cost:

Online registration is now closed.
$40 – Same Day Registration
Reception cost is included.
Registration Deadline: April 22nd
Check In Time: 10AM at the NAC
Submission Time: 4PM at the NAC
Award Ceremony: 5:30PM at the NAC, includes four monetary awards:

1st Place – $150, 2nd Place – $100, 3rd Place – $75, Honorable Mention – $25

Additional Rules:

  1. Must paint in Newberry County
  2. All 2D drawing and painting media will be accepted and eligible for awards and to sell
  3. Artwork will be displayed for 30 days at NAC and 25% commission of the
    sales will go to NAC

As a reminder, registration is required. Online registration is now closed, but a same-day registration option will be available. The event and reception are open to the public, so even if you are unable to paint, we hope to see you there!
